Happy Birthday!  I hope all is well with you.  I got an e-mail reminder and looked up my stuff about Finland.  Have you graduated? Are you cooking at a place?  If you haven't graduated...how long?  If you want to have some more spices or anything - we could do a swap anytime.  Let me know.

PS - Happy Halloween!

I needed to try the TimTams everyone talks about....Kara (can't remember her screen name-sorry)

These were GOOD!  And she sent me a great variety....
The original - yum
The Tim Tam balls....

My assistant, another girl in the office and my boss helped me eat the Pink Wish Tim Tams - I had no choice - they were like wolves....strawberry and caramel inside - OH MY they were SO good!

The double chocolate dipped Tim Tams are for my private stash at home ----thank you SO much Kara...
And a few coins from Australia was the "Icing on the cake"!

Finland to the US....

  • Feb. 7th, 2008 at 8:14 AM

Before now I didn't know much about Finland.  I couldn't even pick it out on the map.....that doesn't say much for my powers of geography but thanks to Rikka, or [info]nekkutyttoe, I learned all about where it is and what they eat.  Did you know they don't have peanut butter in Finland??  No M&Ms?  The chocolate chips for cookies come in tiny bags and cost losts of dough? (no pun intended).
Here's how the box arrived....

Is this the work of Rough mail handlers? Or the customs agents?
or was the postman nosy---or possibly hungry?
what goodies may lurk inside?

Singapore to St. Louis, USA

  • Jan. 12th, 2008 at 5:54 PM

YEA....I got my package from nadbe11e in Singapore.  I had NO IDEA what to expect (that's one thing I like so much about doing this) and I loved all the stuff she sent.

Here's the box when I got it at work---the post marks always intreges the postman and he has to stay for me to open it.  Good thing I had my camera with me!

And yes, it didn't come looking exactly this way - it came with brown paper - but I liked that this was underneath....it made it seem more like a present....

Wanna take a closer look? )</div>

YEA! I got my package from mooness - we did a private swap - and not only did she pick great snacks but she picked a wonderful gift for my daughter for Christmas that she loves...She's got a great sense of humor too...

my goody package arrived at work and I had to fight off everyone from ripping it open and eating it all.

I tried a little of everything and I got a stomach ache...because I skipped lunch to eat candy :)
